Obituary of Hilaron B. Joseph
Surrounded by family Hilaron B. Joseph departed this life on
December 15, 2020 in Rochester, New York.
Hilaron B. Joseph was born on June 5, 1945 in Vieux Fort, St.
Lucia. Growing up in St. Lucia, Hilaron attended and graduated
from the St. Aloysius RC Boys Primary School. His love for
education continued throughout his life as his interests were
vast. Hilaron had a knack for home improvement and owned a
small contracting business. There wasn’t a home repair that he
couldn’t fix. Self-taught, Hilaron possessed a strong
electrical and plumbing knowledge that kept him extremely
busy. He retired from the Windward and Leeward Brewery
(Heineken) after working as a supervisor for more than 20
years. Although he retired, he never stopped working. Helping
families with legal paperwork such as passports, visas, and
other documentation kept him busy and productive.
Hilaron enjoyed sports his whole life, especially Cricket and
Football. He was a strong player in both sports. Other hobbies
included: gardening, traveling and reading. His love for reading allowed him to gain lots of information about many topics. Most important to Hilaron was his family and close friends, with whom he loved to spend time.
