Eugene Snowden was the son of the late Samuel and Louise Snowden. He was born on November 24, 1940 in Williamsburg County, South Carolina. He graduated from Battery Park High School in Kingstree, South Carolina. After graduation he moved to Rochester, New York with his wife Alifair.
Eugene worked for Lightnin Mixing Equipment Co for 30 years and then for 20 years at Eastridge High School. Some of his hobbies included gardening and sharing what he grew. He also enjoyed scrapping. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Josephine Cunningham; and brothers, David Snowden and Jesse Snowden.
Eugene leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Alifair; two children, daughter, Keisha (Nathaniel) Sheppard and son, Jermaine Snowden; grandson, Torian Sheppard; granddaughter, Andra Sheppard; great grandchildren Maurice and Miles Mathis; siblings, Samuel (Mary) Snowden of Philadelphia, PA, Johnnie Snowden, Edith Scott and Lousie Snowden all of Rochester, New York; sisters–in-law, Eliase Snowden and Emma Snowden of Rochester, New York, Lula Speights of Kingstree, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
