Freddie Blair Sr. was born July 27, 1935, in Foley, Florida to James and Louise Blair; where he attended Taylor County High School. The family later moved to Oviedo, Florida.
Freddie relocated to Rochester, New York. He worked in the construction industry for over sixty years and was a member of the local 435.
Freddie married Trudie Crues in 1959 and for fifty-six years the two enjoyed a beautiful life together. Freddie enjoyed spending time with family and fishing; but most of all he loved his church. He joined the First Genesis Baptist Church in the 1980s under the leadership of Pastor Clarence Gavin. He was a member of the Usher Board and served as Senior Deacon.
Freddie went on to be with The Lord on March 21, 2023. Predeceased by his parents and wife, Trudie. He is survived by his son, Freddie Blair Jr.; daughter, Phyllis Blanford (Newark, NJ); sister, Jamie Blair (Oviedo, FL); nephew, Rev. Victor (Kimberly) Blair; niece, Sherri (Edward) Jones; and a host of other relatives, friends and church family.
Freddie was well loved and will be deeply missed.
