Obituary of Eva Hawkins Williams

On Wednesday May 15 2019, Eva Mae Hawkins Williams loving mother, passed away peacefully at the age of 101 safely in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Eva Williams was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Sally Hawkins. She was also preceded by her husband, James A. Williams and son, Christopher Williams.

Eva was born on July 11, 1917 in Wagram, North Carolina to the late Walter and Sally Hawkins. At the age of 25 she moved to New York City then shortly after to Paterson, New Jersey with her husband and family. Eva was a highly intelligent and religious woman in the community of Paterson, NJ. She was a devoted wife to her husband for many years before his passing.

Eva was a stay-at-home mother to her nine children part of her life before venturing off to the workforce. Her work history consisted of caring for the elderly as well as having a daycare in her home for the young children. She volunteered her services to many organizations in the community of Paterson, NJ. Eva loved her family very much and was famous for making banana pudding with her grandkids.

She was known as a straightforward, no nonsense, stern, tell it like it is, strong, confident and exuded beauty most of all. She was a God-fearing woman who love the Lord giveaway is lived...For His Glory. She believed in giving contributions to many church organizations with the belief that God would blanket her family from harm while enriching them with incredible health.
